26-365 Azalea by Lensbaby

There aren't any azalea's in bloom right now so how in the world could I have been sooooo darn lucky to get a cool abstract azalea picture for my 365 Project photo of today?  Cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater. :)

Yep.  I pulled this one out of my archives.  I was actually just going through last years pictures around this time of the year as I looked for something to enter into a photo contest that I'm hoping to participate in and I forgot I had taken this one.  I really like it so I wanted to post it.  Yes Vic, it appears I am making up my rules as I go.  ;-)  This picture was taken last spring in April in downtown Swansboro in front of one of the older homes that had a huge row of bountiful Azalea bushes lining the retaining wall in front of their house.  I'm not a huge azalea fan but since I had my Lensbaby 2.0 on with the Star filter from my Creative Aperture Kit on it, I experimented around with the pretty in pink flowers.  I really like the abstract of this shot and if you look closely, you'll see the faint stars in the photograph from the star aperture.

My settings for this shot were 1/200 sec, Aperture (does not register when a Lensbaby is mounted as focus range is controlled by the bellows type accordian barrel), ISO 100, WB cloudy, Flash not fired, focal length (not registered with a Lensbaby mounted on camera).

I like your lens baby shots! You need to use it again at night. And, I like your rules. :)
